ST panel

Nick's panel for the LAK17a.  From top left, clockwise.  PowerFLARM Butterfly display.  On top of the panel, the closer antenna is the ADS-B/Transponder PCAS antenna, further forward with a clearer view of the sky, the FLARM dipole antenna (this is a temporary installation, but time didn't permit better).  Winter mechanical vario. Winter ASI.  Altimeter. Cambridge vario head. Battery switching and main power switch (contains OAT).  Vertical card compass.  Varicalc computer.  MGL radio.  Dell Streak 5 running (I believe) XC Skies (the trans-reflective screen works very well in the light). There is space for another PDA - it's a Compaq 4700, as a back-up. Primary logger is a Nano. Just forward of the instrument pod, there is an EW Microrecorder that has proved problematic in the heat even though it's out of the sun.  We now cool it with an sport ice pack before takeoff, which seems to have cured it.

As you can see, space is at a premium; next pic is PowerFLARM Brick installation:
Tucked neatly away in about the only place it would fit.  When Bricks become IGC approved loggers, part of the clutter will go away, and the Brick can move to where the EW currently is.

There is also an installation for a Volkslogger that was validated by the organizers as a back-up when it was unclear that the EW would be usable during the late practice period.

Lots going on in a small space!
